Ever since we shot this wedding last summer, I've actually kind of dreaded writing this blog post! That sounds bad- but it's not. The simple reason behind the dread is that I just cannot find the words to adequately express my overwhelming happiness for these two- and just how amazing their wedding day was! See, we've known Joe for quite a while. Years, in fact. He's been a good friend for the majority of that time- and we have ALWAYS prayed for his wife. For the day that she would finally be introduced to Joe! Joe is a great guy- but how he's made it this far without a wife, we just don't know. And Stephanie- though I've only known her a little while- is most definitely Joe's long-awaited other half! Stephanie is so kind and beautiful, inside and out- and has a huge heart- and somehow, thinks Joe is funny. ;) And as much as we rib Joe- Stephanie must know that she is actually getting a heck of a deal- Joe is a smart, empathetic, and upstanding man who seeks God every single day, and THAT is going to give Stephanie the best husband she could hope for! Their wedding day was HOT. August in Michigan tends to be that way. In Coldwater, Michigan, there is a cute little island garden venue called Artistre Escapes. This is the setting for their wedding day. There was no lack of gorgeous flowers and super cute mismatched china for the meal, and even silly string for the exit. And I'm sure something somewhere along the day didn't go exactly as planned- but you would have never known. This wedding wasn't about the all the DIY details- even though they were amazing! This wedding was purely about the happiness in God's plan for our lives- celebrated with family and close friends on a beautiful little island in Coldwater, Michigan. The food and details and beautiful setting were just bonuses. You can just see in Joe and Stephanie's faces ALL. DAY. LONG. the happiness and excitement for the future.
I'm out of words. I hope that the pictures will suffice now :)
The next series of pictures have to have a disclaimer! HAHA. A silly string exit WILL make a mess. Like a lot. And the jury is still out on whether it is actually biodegradable or not. Also- explaining the silly string exit to lots of guests with silly string in hand WILL get you sprayed at least a couple times prior to the actual exit, and someone will most likely get some in their ear at some point. So use caution. However- this silly string exit was the most EPIC of exits we have ever had the privilege of being a part of and it was awesome and the images are seriously AWESOME. Silly string for the win!
