Get ready for a lengthy post! In June, we were privileged to shoot Jack and McKensey's Sherman Lake YMCA wedding in Augusta, Michigan. Their families were a riot, and we have had a special place in our hearts for Jack and McKensey since we got to know them a bit on their Kalamazoo engagement shoot (see it here!). These two are hardworking and sweet, genuine people- and I have to admit, I cried a few times on their wedding day. McKensey was a beautiful bride, and Jack was dashing, and they fit perfectly and are most definitely made for each other. McKensey worked so hard on all the creative rustic wedding decor- and did tons of DIY work on almost everything! I am thoroughly impressed by all the rustic and vintage shabby chic ideas she pulled off! There was a lot of jute string and mason jars, burlap, lace, and branches and BEAUTIFUL flowers- it definitely made for the most perfect rustic and elegant wedding. One of my favorite things were the signs along the path to walk to the ceremony location overlooking the lake- it had significant dates in their relationship and was just really sweet. Jack and McKensey also opted to do a Reveal- which we LOVE for a number of reasons- but you'll see why when you see how sweet and emotional their Reveal was, just take a look through some highlights and some of our favorite images from this rustic and barn inspired Sherman Lake YMCA wedding. Congratulations again, you two!
The Reveal is my favorite! I just love this moment:
Jack and McKensey got a case of the giggles- and it took them a few minutes to get it under control- but they are some of my favorite images.
