It was an unusually rainy summer day for Scott + Rachel's Lake Michigan Wedding- but it couldn't dampen anyone's spirits! Scott and Rachel were just as happy, and just as in love, as they have been since the day I met them. We were so honored to be their Lake Michigan Wedding Photographers - and have enjoyed watching their story unfold.

If I had to choose a color to represent them as a couple- I would say bright sunflower-y yellow. Which really works for them as evidenced by their choice in flowers! The are one of the most optimistic and caring couples we have had the pleasure to photograph! I just love their outlook on life. Their St. Joseph beach wedding was such a sweet day that we will never forget.

One of my favorite things about Scott + Rachel was that they were so open to guidance about the wedding day schedule! The chose to do the Reveal, which is an amazing option all around. They got to have their quiet moment together- all while being gracious hosts for their party! And it didn't hurt that we got to do the majority of their wedding party and bride and groom images prior to everyone losing their "luster" in the frequent sprinkles!

This picture still makes me laugh so hard! A wedding was taking place but this dude and his bird didn't care XD

Their reception decor was bright and festive- with sunflowers and lots of metal work made by Scott himself!
