Here at DaveTree Photography, we love lakeshore weddings! Being lakeshore wedding photographers is one of our favorites! We both grew up making a couple hours long treks to spend the day on the sands of Lake Michigan, and we have fond memories at the lake. So when we get to be official lakeshore wedding photographers- it's a good day.
This particular Lake Michigan beach wedding took place in St. Joseph, Michigan. We got to work alongside the Veranda at the Whitcomb and 1928 Planning Co. and brought on our dear friend Emily of Faithful Photography as a third shooter (just in case one of us passed out from our travels from Africa the day before!), as well as Crystal Springs Florist, Sunset Coast Trolley Co., Dee's Specialty Cakes, and Kaleidoscope Events Entertainment. Jesse and Victoria were so chill and their wedding party was full of life- even though the sand was burning our feet! Take a look at their beach wedding inspirations and colors!
When Jesse and Victoria were all ready to go, we headed to the beach to do their Reveal! (IT was HOT out there- but Jesse's reaction to Victoria was really too sweet to miss!) I'm going to share these a little differently than I normally do- I usually interweave David's perspective and mine together by time stamp- but I thought it was kind of interesting to see it completely from our different perspectives!
Then the fun! (And herding cats XD)
We cut photo time a little short to make sure that the timeline stayed on schedule.
My new favorite thing to do is put all the reception images in a slideshow- I hope you don't mind, it keeps the length a little shorter!
We were able to go up to Al Capone's(rumored, but highly likely) old pent house and grab a few shots while we watched the sunset over Lake Michigan.
