Luke + Jessica's wedding day was the most pleasant late spring day- some of the best outdoor wedding weather anyone could ask for! We had so much fun with them and their wedding party as their Michigan vineyard wedding photographers. They had so many fun personal details to their decor- you could tell they were so excited to plan this day that would begin the rest of their lives together. (Hold tight- this post is LONG). You're not going to want to miss the story about their big surprise about halfway down! I'm not kidding. For now- let's start at the beginning of the day.
We don't need to say this if you've read any of our blogs before, but we are fans of the Reveal. Look how sweet this one was!
Then we were off to do as many portraits as we could squeeze in before heading to 12 Corners Vineyard.
Now, one of my favorite parts of the whole day. Jessica's maid of honor, Gina, couldn't make it to the wedding. I can't remember where she lived, but she was states away and at the end of a difficult pregnancy and very broken-hearted that she wasn't going to be there to stand by Jessica for the wedding. Jessica was obviously sad about it, but she put on a brave face and continued about her day. Unbeknownst to Jessica- Gina had made plans to come anyway- despite her situation. So when we saw her coming up the drive- Jessica's mom grabbed her to point her attention down the drive. At first, Jessica thought her mom wanted her to pose for a photo with her, but when she looked where her mom was pointing, she lost it- in the best way! (I cry every time I look at these- how awesome to have a friend of this caliber!)
Then it was showtime. Ceremony and reception!
And lastly, we snuck off with the Bride and Groom to get some special magic hour portraits before we left for the night. The wedding party joined us at the end- it was an awesome day.
And they lived happily ever after.
